Diamond scanner problem

Saved up and bought the diamond scanner on level 2, it worked. Then on level 3 its not in my inventory to use anymore.... i looked to see if i had to buy it again. but there is no price anymore in UFO, just says not enough money but no price etc. frustrating as great game and i'm on level 5 now and upgraded lots but the bigger the levels get its no fun without the scanner.
Please help... do i have to start all over again????

Hi Bren - the scanner can only be used once, you have to buy it again after usage.
The scanner will be cheaper in the next update.

I currently do not know how it can happen, that the game displays no price anymore but I will try to investigate this error.

Maybe you can provide me with a detailed list of what you've done, so I can try to reproduce this behaviour?

many thanks for the quick reply. I've saved over 5k and now able to rebuy and shows price. I think was my stupidity assuming it would stay with me, not a bug.

One question however. I rebought the scanner and activated from inventory. it only seems to show the direction for a few seconds and then needs to be bought again on same level again. is this correct?
would be great if you could reuse a few times on the current level.

Yes the scanner shows you the direction just for a few seconds - it is more a hint to go in the right direction.

Scanners will be cheaper in coming version and you can always buy more than 1. So if you want to use it multiple times, just buy multiple scanners (you can carry as many as you like) - but don't die, because then your inventory is lost :-)
